Burma’s troubled transition

     

On April 5, Francis Fukuyama, Director of Stanford University’s Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law held an interview with FSI Senior Fellow Larry Diamond on Burma’s recent elections and it’s ongoing transition to democracy. Particularly, Diamond remarked on the significant role Aung Sang Suu Kyi will play and the social and political challenges the new leadership must face as the country continues its transition.
