Empowering Kuwaiti Women in Politics

Despite decades of success in education, leading social programs, and advancements in the private sector, women in the Gulf region still face numerous obstacles in achieving political leadership positions, notes PartnersGlobal, which has been working with women leaders and women-led CSOs in Kuwait to push forward the conversation around women’s rights and empowerment, and to actively address persistent barriers that prevent women from accessing decision-making processes.

As part of its current program on advancing women in politics, PartnersGlobal is hosting a select group of Kuwaiti women in the US to learn more about political campaigning, to build their professional networks and to cultivate emerging political skills. Please join PartnersGlobal, Smash Strategies, and Ibtkar Strategic Consultancy in a special welcome reception to support these 15 women who are already actively engaged in their communities, advocating for positive social change and eager to break into Kuwaiti politics.  Brief remarks will be followed by a networking reception.
